5. USB Port
- The USB memory sticks must be recognized as “USB” to work properly.
Some models may not operate correctly. In the event data is lost or damaged under any condition, Elettromedia s.p.a. shall not be liable for any damage. When using the USB memory stick, we recommend that you backup your data (music) to a personal computer before using.
- Data (music) files may be damaged when USB memory sticks are removed while the device is
reading data, or by static electricity and/or an electrical surge.
- Connect/disconnect the USB memory stick when it is not accessed.
- Disconnect the USB memory device when not in use.
6. Cleaning the Body
- Use a soft, dry cloth and gently wipe off any dirt or dust.
- For persistent dirt, apply some neutral detergent diluted in water on a soft cloth, wipe off the dirt
gently, then wipe again with a dry cloth.
- Do not use benzene, thinner, boat cleaner, etc., as these substances may damage the body or cause the paint to peel. Also, leaving rubber or plastic products in contact with the body for long periods of time may cause stains.
NMEA 2000® Connection
NMEA 2000® is a marine standard for data communication on vessels.NMEA 2000® Connection permits the CAPRI HBB control from a compatible multi-function displays (MDF).

CAUTIONS ON HANDLING
Protect from high temperatures. Exposure to direct sunlight for an extended period of time can produce very high temperature inside the unit. It is recommended to protect the unit with the special cover when not in use.
| WARNING: This head unit is designed to be water and spray resistant, but it is not designed to be sub merged or to withstand high-pressure water spray. Please exercise care when washing your boat to avoid damaging the head unit. Do not install on submersibles, personal watercraft or any other vessel likely to be under water for even a short time. |

4.1 BEFORE STARTING

4.2 INSTALLATION CAUTIONS
- In order to avoid any interference, do not install the tuner module or control unit in the proximity of the engine compartment.
- The use of unauthorized parts can cause permanent damage to the unit.
- Always check your wire connections to ensure proper installation before turning on the unit.
- Consult with your nearest dealer for proper installation or if other accessories are needed to complete the installation.
- Seek assistance if modifications or drilling holes to your vessel is needed.
- Do not install the unit where it will be subjected to excessive moisture, dust, dirt, foreign particles or vibration. Areas of high temperature from the engine, direct sunlight, or heat sources should also be avoided.
- Do not install the unit in a location where it will interfere with the vessel operation, or it will injure the passengers if there is a sudden or emergency stop.

8.1 BASIC OPERATION
Note: These operations are available when using a connected CAPRI HD1 remote. If you control your CAPRI HBB using a chartplotter, consult your device's owner's manual for more information.

■ 8.1.1 Power On/Off
Note:
- Start the engine before using this unit.
- Be careful about using this unit for a long time without running the engine. If you drain the vessel battery, you may not be able to start the engine and this can reduce the service life of the battery.
1. Start the engine.

■ 8.1.2 Adjusting the volume
Rotate KNOB to increase or decrease the volume.
The adjustable range of volume is from 0 to 40.
- The volume of each Zone and Zone Sub relative level are adjustable separately in AUDIO ZONE LEVEL menu.
- Sub volume is adjustable relative level range is from -30 to +10

8.2 SETTINGS
■ 8.2.1 System Setting Menu
- Long press to access the general settings menu.
- Rotate KNOB to highlight one of the available options, press to select.
BLUETOOTH DEVICE> DISPLAY> AUDIO> TUNER REGION>SOURCES> POWER MANAGEMENT> HMC U1 MANAGEMENT> HMC NMEA2K MANAGMENT*> SYSTEM).
* Remark: this function is selectable only when HMC NMEA2K remote control is connected.
- Press to go back to the previous screen menu.
- Long press to exit from general settings menu.
■ 8.2.2 Bluetooth Device
- Rotate KNOB to highlight one of the available options, press to select
(DEVICE NAME > SELECT DEVICE > REMOVE DEVICE).
DEVICE NAME (to create a desired name to display on connected Bluetooth device).
Use KNOB to enter a desired name for this device (max 10 characters).
SELECT DEVICE (to connect or disconnect a Bluetooth device from the list of paired device).
1. Rotate KNOB to select a Bluetooth device to connect or disconnect.
2. Press KNOB to connect or disconnect a Bluetooth device selected.
Remark: will appear next to the name of the connected Bluetooth device.
REMOVE DEVICE (to remove a Bluetooth device from the list of paired device)
1. Rotate KNOB to select the Bluetooth device to remove.
2. Press KNOB to remove the Bluetooth device selected.

Remark: CAPRI HBB is equipped with a specific function that allows to enable/disable DIMMER function via an external command provided by the user, through the “DIMMER TRIGGER” wire (orange/white) on the back of the head unit.
When + 12Vdc voltage is applied to the “DIMMER TRIGGER” wire, the head unit enable dimmer function. When + 12Vdc voltage is removed from this control wire, the head unit disable dimmer function .

- Rotate KNOB to highlight one of the available options, press to select.

DIMMER ON: rotate KNOB to adjust the screen brightness level from 1 to 10 when dimmer is enabled.

BUTTONS BRIGHTNESS
Press KNOB to switch between the options:
DIMMER ON: rotate KNOB to adjust the buttons brightness level from 1 to 10 when dimmer is enabled.
DIMMER OFF:rotate KNOB to adjust the buttons brightness level from 11 to 20 when dimmer is disabled.
TEXT SCROLLING (to enable continuous text scrolling where available)

- A2B: A2B TDM OUTPUT is enabled.
Using the optional CAPRI HMB A2B module, it’s possible to manage 4 audio zones and up to 3 amplifiers
Note: Speaker outputs, Zone RCA outputs, Digital Coaxial output are disabled and related controls are not available.
INTERNAL AMP ON (to enable or disable speaker output amplifier stage)

- Rotate KNOB to adjust the desired Volume level limit from 0 to 40.
POWER ON VOLUME LIMIT (to limit the maximum volume level of this zone when the head unit is turned ON).
- Rotate KNOB to adjust the desired Volume level upon turn on from 0 a 40.
LEVEL CONTROL MODE
- Rotate KNOB to highlight one of the available options, press to select:
- VARIABLE (default): the volume level of the signal output from this audio zone is variable and can be controlled via the volume mixer (AUDIO ZONE LEVEL).
- FIXED @4Vrms: the level of the output signal from this audio zone is fixed at 4Vrms. It will no longer be possible to change the volume level for this zone until the “Variable” mode is selected.
Remark: in this mode, the DIGITAL COAXIAL RCA output is set to 0dBFS
- FIXED @2Vrms: the level of the output signal from this audio zone is fixed at 2Vrms.
It will no longer be possible to change the volume level for this zone until the “Variable” mode is selected.
Remark: in this mode, the DIGITAL COAXIAL RCA output is set to -6dBFS
- FIXED @1Vrms: the level of the output signal from this audio zone is fixed at 1Vrms.
It will no longer be possible to change the volume level for this zone until the “Variable” mode is selected.
Remark: in this mode, the DIGITAL COAXIAL RCA output is set to -12dB
- OFF: this audio zone is off. This zone will no longer play any sound until “Variable” or “Fixed” mode is selected
ZONE 2 (ZONE 2 Settings).
- Rotate KNOB to highlight one available option, press to selector to enable or disable
this function.

- FIXED @4Vrms: the level of the output signal from this audio zone is fixed at 4Vrms. It will no longer be possible to change the volume level for this zone until the “Variable” mode is selected.
- FIXED @2Vrms: the level of the output signal from this audio zone is fixed at 2Vrms.
It will no longer be possible to change the volume level for this zone until the “Variable” mode is selected.
- FIXED @1Vrms: the level of the output signal from this audio zone is fixed at 1Vrms.
It will no longer be possible to change the volume level for this zone until the “Variable” mode is selected.
- OFF: this audio zone is off. This zone will no longer play any sound until “Variable” or “Fixed” mode is selected

1. Activating your SiriusXM Subscription
After installing your SiriusXM Connect Tuner and antenna, power on your CAPRI HBB and select SiriusXM mode. You should be able to hear the SiriusXM preview channel on Channel 1. If you cannot hear the preview channel, please check the installation instructions to make sure your SiriusXM. Connect tuner is properly installed.
After you can hear the preview channel, tune to Channel 0 to find the Radio ID of your tuner.
In addition, the Radio ID is located on the bottom of the SiriusXM Connect Tuner and its packaging. You will need this number to activate your subscription. Write the number down for reference.
Note: the SiriusXM Radio ID does not include the letters I, O, S or F.

As part of the activation process, the SiriusXM satellites will send an activation message to your tuner. When your radio detects that the tuner has received the activation message, your radio will display:
SUBSCRIPTION UPDATED.
Once subscribed, you can tune to channels in your subscription plan. Note, the activation process usually takes 10 to 15 minutes, but may take up to an hour. Your radio will need to be
powered on and receiving the SiriusXM signal to receive the activation message.
2. IDENTIFYING THE SiriusXM Connect Tuner RADIO ID NUMBER
The SiriusXM Radio ID is required for activation and can be found by tuning to Channel 0 as well as by looking on the label found on the SiriusXM Connect Tuner and its packaging. The Radio ID does not include the letters I, O, S or F.

2. REPLAY MODE
You can use Replay Mode to control playback of a SiriusXM broadcast
- Press and holdto enable REPLAY MODE (currently tuning mode changes to REPLAY MODE, and a progress bar appears.
- Press to pause or resume the playback.
- Press to move backward in increments.
- Press to move forward in increments.
Remark: you can press and hold or
to rewind or fast forward the track.
Remark: If you fast forward or skip forward to the end of the progress bar, the unit exits Replay Mode automatically.
- Press and holdto exit REPLAY MODE (tuning mode switches back to previous mode, and the progress ba disappears).
Remark: you can also exit from REPLAY MODE:
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to highlighting NOW PLAYNG.
- Press KNOB to return to NOW PLAYNG
3. DIRECT TUNING
Selecting a channel using the Direct Tuning feature.
1. From the primary SiriusXM Interface, long press KNOB
2. Enter the 3-digit Channel Number in the pop-up window by turning the KNOB to scroll to the first digit.
3. Press KNOB to confirm the first digit, proceeding to the second digit.
4. Rotate KNOB, scrolling to the second digit.
5. Press KNOB to confirm the second digit, proceeding to the third digit.
6. Rotate KNOB, scrolling to the third digit.
7. Press KNOB to confirm the third digit and tune the entered channel.
■ 8.9.4 SiriusXM SETTINGS
To access SiriusXM settings, press the MENU button to view the list of settings options.
Turn the KNOB, scrolling to highlight the desired setting, then press the KNOB to view the available options for the setting.
1. NOW PLAYNG (Only available for REPLAY MODE) To exit from REPLAY MODE).
You can use Replay Mode to control playback of a SiriusXM broadcast
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to highlighting NOW PLAYNG.
- Press the KNOB to return in NOW PLAYNG.
2. PRESETS LIST
To browse stored presets:
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to highlighting PRESETS LIST.
- Press KNOB to access the preset list.
- Rotate KNOB to scroll the preset list & highlight the desired preset channel.
- Press KNOB to tune the desired channel.
Remark: you can also pres V to access in PRESET LIST.
3. MANAGE PRESETS
To save a preset:
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to and highlight MANAGE PRESETS.
- Press KNOB to access the MANAGE PRESETS.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to and highlight ADD PRESETS.
- Press KNOB to access the ADD PRESETS.
- Rotate KNOB to scroll the preset list and highlight the desired preset location (1-18).
- Press KNOB to confirm and save the channel in the desired preset location.
Remark: Saving a new channel in a preset location will replace a previously saved channel.
4. BROWSE BY CHANNEL
Select BROWSE BY CHANNEL to view all available channels:
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to & highlighting BROWSE BY CHANNEL.
- Press KNOB to access the BROWSE BY CHANNEL.
- Rotate KNOB to scroll the channel list & highlight the desired channel.
- Press KNOB to tune the desired channel.
Remark: by pressing you can show the list by CHANNEL NAME /ARTIST/SONG/INFO/CATEGORY.
5. BROWSE BY CATEGORY
Select BROWSE BY CATEGORY to browse all the available category. By selecting one category you can see the list of channels available in that category:
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to & highlighting BROWSE BY CATEGORY.
- Press KNOB to access the category list.
- Rotate KNOB to scroll the category list & highlight the desired content category.
- Press KNOB to view the channels broadcast content relative to the category.
- Rotate KNOB to scroll the channel list & highlight the desired channel.
- Press KNOB to tune the desired channel.
Remark: by pressing you can show the list by CHANNEL NAME /ARTIST/SONG/INFO.

6. PARENTAL CONTROL
The Parental Control feature allows you to limit access to SiriusXM channels with mature content. When LOCK MATURE CHANNEL is enabled, the Parental Control feature requires you to enter a passcode to tune to the locked channels. Information on setting up the passcode and locking channels can be found below.
LOCK MATURE CHANNEL
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to and highlight PARENTAL CONTROL.
- Press KNOB to access the PARENTAL CONTROL.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to and highlight LOCK MATURE CHANNEL.
- Press KNOB to access the ability to activateor deactivate
the Parental Control feature.
How to Lock (restrict) or Unlock (unrestricted) the Parental Control Mature Channels.
The default Lock Code is: 1111
- Enter the 4-digit default Lock Code in the pop-up window by turning the KNOB to scroll to the first digit.
- Press the KNOB to confirm the first digit, and proceed to the second digit.
- Rotate the KNOB, and scroll to the second digit.
- Press the KNOB to confirm the second digit, and proceed to the third digit.
- Rotate the KNOB, and scroll to the third digit.
- Press the KNOB to confirm the third digit, and proceed to the fourth digit.

EDIT LOCK CODE
Select EDIT LOCK CODE to change the default or current Parental Control Lock code.

- Rotate KNOB, scrolling to and highlight MANAGE LOCK CODE.
- Press the KNOB to access the ability to change the default or current Parental Control Lock code.
- Entering a new Parental Control Lock code:
- The default Lock Code is: 111
- Enter the 4-digit default or current Lock Code in the pop-up window by turning the KNOB to scroll to the first digit.
- Press KNOB to confirm the first digit, and proceed to the second digit.
- Rotate KNOB and scroll to the second digit.
- Press KNOB to confirm the second digit, and proceed to the third digit.
- Rotate KNOB and scroll to the third digit.
- Press KNOB to confirm the third digit, and proceed to the fourth digit.
- Rotate KNOB and scroll to the fourth digit.
- Press KNOB to confirm the fourth digit.
- Enter the new 4-digit Lock Code in the pop-up window by following steps 1-8 above.
7. MY ACCOUNT
Select MY ACCOUNT to view your SiriusXM account status and Radio ID:
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to and highlightMY ACCOUNT.
- Press KNOB to access the MY ACCOUNT.
8. SXM FACTORY DEFAULT
Select SiriusXM FACTORY DEFAULT to reset all SiriusXM Connect Tuner setting to default. Defaulted settings include Presets, Parental Lockout Code, Locked Channels, etc.
- Press to access SiriusXM Settings.
- Rotate KNOB scrolling to and highlight SXM FACTORY DEFAULT.
- Press KNOB to access the ability to reset all SiriusXM settings to factory default.
- Rotate KNOB to highlight YES.
- Press KNOB to perform a factory.
8.10 AUX1 - AUX2 MODE
■ 8.10.1 Select AUX1 - AUX2 as Playing Source
The AUX input is provided to allow playback of sounds and music from external devices.
1. Press / SCR to access the SOURCE SELECTION.
2. Rotate KNOB to highlight AUX1 - AUX2 press to select.

8.11 VIDEO IN MODE
The CAMERA input ,allows you to view images from an external camera (optional).

■ 8.11.1 Automatic switching to VIDEO IN mode
CAPRI HBB is equipped with a specific function that allows you to activate/deactivate the VIDEO IN mode via an external command provided by the user through the “CAMERA TRIGGER” wire (light green/white) on the back of the head unit.
When + 12Vdc voltage is applied to the “CAMERA TRIGGER” wire, the head unit switches to VIDEO IN mode.
When + 12Vdc voltage is removed from the above control wire, the head unit return to the previously played source.
8.12 DIGITAL IN MODE OPERATION
■ 8.12.1 Select DIGITAL IN as Playing Source
The S/PDIF optical input in this system , is provided to allow playback of sounds and music from external device with an optical audio output connected to this unit using an optical audio cable.
1. Press / SCR to access the SOURCE SELECTION.
2. Rotate KNOB to highlight DIGITAL IN press to select.
Remark: this system supports PCM audio up to 24bit/96kHz.

You need a blank USB flash drive that has a capacity between 256MB and 64GB. Ensure the USB Flash Drive is formatted to FAT32.

▪ Unzip in your PC/laptop the update file folder and copy the decompressed files into a USB flash drive.

◼︎CAPRI HBB upgrade procedure using CAPRI HD1 remote control
1. Turn on the CAPRI HBB.
2. Connect the USB flash drive.
3. Long press “MENU/BACK” button -> then select “SYSTEM” -> then select “CAPRI HBB UPDATE”.
4. The system will request you to confirm before starting the upgrade procedure. Please confirm “YES” by pressing the knob.
5. The unit may restart a few times while updating the software. When the upgrade procedure is complete the unit turns on in the source screen.
6. Remove the USB flash drive.

1. Turn on the CAPRI HBB.
